Learn how to use a computer, search the Internet, send e-mail, or use Microsoft Office software at our free computer classes.

Attendance for each class is limited; seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no registration for the classes. You should arrive at the library 10 minutes before the class starts. With the exception of the Computer Basics class, you should know how to use a keyboard and mouse. If you have no experience with computers, please attend Computer Basics before attending any of our other classes.

LearningExpress Library offers self-paced online classes for applications from Adobe, Corel and Microsoft. Set up a username and password to track your progress.

From Access 2007 to typing, Texas Workskills Development in Libraries (TWDL) provides links to more than 30 sites that provide online instruction on using a computer.
Attend a Job Center Seminar

The Job Center offers seminars on résumé-writing, interviewing, finding a job online, and investigating companies. Classes are offered at the Central Library and at branch libraries.

Low-cost computer classes are offered by Irving.Net, a collaborative effort among the City of Irving, Irving Independent School District, Irving Convention & Visitors, Bureau, Greater Irving/Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, and North Lake College.
