Microsoft Office Software

All classes provide an introduction to the software and last approximately two hours. These classes are for students who have used a computer before and feel comfortable using a keyboard and mouse.

Basic Microsoft Excel

Students will learn how to identify the components of an Excel spreadsheet and parts of the standard and formatting toolbars, enter and edit data, format cells and use basic formulas.


Basic Microsoft PowerPoint

Students will learn how to create a PowerPoint presentation, including inserting photos, using sound, highlighting text, and selecting transitions.


Basic Microsoft Publisher

Students will learn how to create flyers, greeting cards, business cards and posters.


Basic Microsoft Word

Students will learn how to create, edit, format, and save a basic Word document and work with Microsoft Word templates.

Budgeting in Microsoft Excel

This class provides an introduction to creating a monthly budget in Microsoft Excel. By the end of this class, students will be able to create a simple budget, balance their checkbook and become familiar with creating formulas in an Excel spreadsheet.


Résumé Writing in Microsoft Word

Students will learn how to create a résumé and cover letter using Microsoft Word.
